We're building around a different idea: the gear should adapt to where you live, not the other way around. Tennis balls, wiffle balls, foam balls — the stuff people already have lying around the house. The Skill Stick is built for all of it. OUR STORY

It started with
a backyard and a kid.

A regulation stick is great for backyard practice — but lacrosse balls can cause real damage. Windows, cars, siding, neighbors' property. Not every backyard is safe for ripping shots with a solid rubber ball.

That's why I built the Skill Stick. It's designed for tennis balls, wiffle balls, and foam balls — the balls people already have at home that won't break anything. The Skill Stick solves the ball problem. Affordable, accessible, and sized right: small and light enough for indoors, large enough to throw with real technique. A blend of fun and skill.

Then came the guides, because a stick without knowledge is just a stick. Then the playbook, because coaches need tools. Then the game, because lacrosse should be fun even when you're stuck inside. One problem led to another, and each solution became a new arm of the brand.

What is the Skill Stick?

The Skill Stick is a lacrosse stick designed specifically for lightweight sports balls — tennis balls, wiffle balls, and foam balls. It's sized and weighted to feel like a real lacrosse stick while being safe for backyard and indoor use. It's not a regulation game stick; it's a training and play tool that lets you practice anywhere without needing a field or a backstop.

Can I use the Skill Stick with real lacrosse balls?

No. The Skill Stick is not a regulation game stick and is not designed for use with regulation lacrosse balls. It's built for tennis balls, wiffle balls, and foam balls — the kinds of balls people already have at home that won't cause damage to property or people.

What's the difference between Standard and SUPA Whip?

Whip refers to how the ball releases from the mesh. Standard Whip gives a quicker, higher release point — great for beginners and intermediate players. SUPA Whip has a stronger hold and a lower release point, which more experienced players tend to prefer. It ultimately comes down to personal preference and play style.

Can I replace the shaft?

Yes. The Skill Stick uses a 24-inch, 5/8-inch diameter bamboo shaft that can be replaced with any 5/8-inch hardwood dowel rod from a hardware store. Bamboo, oak, ash, maple, and walnut all work. You can cut it shorter for a fiddle stick feel or lengthen it to mimic a defensive pole.

What's the difference between the three stick models?

The standard Skill Stick ($29.99) has a bamboo shaft. The Carbon Fiber Skill Stick ($44.99) upgrades to a lightweight carbon fiber shaft. The Premium Grip Carbon Fiber ($64.99) is a limited edition with a twill-weave textured grip on the carbon shaft and black-out aesthetics. All three use the same head and mesh system.

Is Arcade Lacrosse really free to play?

Yes. Arcade Lacrosse is free to play online at game.peopleslacrosse.com with global leaderboards. A Steam version is coming soon for matchmaking and co-op modes.

Who makes the Skill Stick?

The Skill Stick is designed, manufactured, and shipped by Dan — a former MCLA lacrosse player and Master of Architecture. It's a solo LLC based in the USA. Every stick is shipped by the person who made it. No outsourcing, no mass production.
